Hilton Head Island: Living in Paradise

I was talking with a client and he ask me “ How do you like living in such a great place”. It really made me think how lucky I am. The weather is awesome, the scenery is spectacular, but more than anything the lifestyle that comes with living her is indescribable .Yesterday for example we decide to jump on our bikes and ride some of the 130 miles of bike trails on Hilton Head, which we do often. We started by going down the white sandy beach from Port royal all the way to Sea Pines and south Beach. Once we got to South Beach we had lunch at The Salty Dog CafĂ© over looking the water.I have done thuis many times but never with such awareness. From there we rode over to Harbor Town and decide to go to the top of the lighthouse. This is one of those things that living here you just don’t think to do. I was so glad we did. Once we were at the top you could see just how beautiful the area truly is, So we decided to continue on exploring the island so we rode all thru Sea pines once out of Sea Pines we decide that we would ride over the Cross Island Bridge and down Marshland to Up The Creek Pub. This was a ambitious undertaking for sure given the distance we had already been riding and the steep grade of the bridge. I must say once we started up the bridge and the grade seemed to get steeper and steeper, but once we reached the top, WOW!! I have been over that bridge many many times and had never seen it quit like that .Once over the bridge it was off the Up The creek Pub where we sat by the water on their out door veranda  had a drink and a few appetizers. I have to say it was a great great day. Bicycling really is one of the best ways to see the island and with my new perspective it was really the best way to see the island. So to answer his question “How do I like living in such a great place?”  I love it!t,it is like no other place in the world. I really must thank him for asking, because it made me really appreciate the island again, So many times when you live in a place and you forget just how beautiful it is because you see the beach everyday or the Live oaks are always here. “If you are lucky enough to live on Hilton Head Island, You are lucky enough”. I  AM TRULY A LUCKY GUY!
