As the New Year begins, so does the seasonal upswing in our real estate market. The holiday season is a quiet time in the real estate world. Now that the holidays are over we are busy preparing for the anticipated escalation in business that will be headed our way in the early spring. The kids are back in school after holiday break and now is the perfect time for the parents to take “their vacation” and shop for their dream Lowcountry home without any distractions. However, our sellers are settling back into their routine with work, kids in school, after school activities, etc.. This usually results with a sudden increase in showing activity.
So, how do we at Carolina Realty Group prepare our sellers for this season? We want the selling process to be as easy as possible for our clients. One of the biggest complaints we have heard over the years is that Realtors would call sellers at all times of the day and night with little to no notice to show their property. We wanted to eliminate that nuisance. All showing requests come through us first. We don't provide your contact information for agents to set up their showings through you, we do it ourselves.
How does it work, you ask? On all available sites, we direct everyone (including Realtors) to call our office for showing requests. We as a team answer the phones 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm (and sometimes later, we can be night owls), to be sure that you never miss a showing opportunity. When an agent calls us, we have detailed information in our internal company website as to how to handle the request (i.e., who to call/text/email, if there are pets in the home, don't lock the back door, etc.). One of our teammates will take the call, read the detailed showing instructions and set up the showing exactly how you have asked us to. You will build a relationship with the team members that call you, and you will never have to speak to a stranger.
In conclusion, we treat our clients like family. We are here to make this process as seamless and nuisance free as possible, and taking showing calls nearly 24/7 is just one of the ways we are successful at making that happen.
