Meeting: Beaufort County Council
Date: 01/25/2010
Issue: Replacing Community zoning option with a Traditional Neighborhood design option.
Relevancy: Would negate need for PUDs and school impact fees in affected zoning areas, mainly north of the Broad River.

Meeting: Okatie River DHEC meeting
Date 01/26/2010
Issue: New requirements for stormwater runoff into the Okatie.
Relevancy: Currently waterway is restricted, no shellfish harvesting allowed.
Status: Waterways needs a 51% reduction in current runoff at the headwaters and 39% at Pinckney Colony Point in order to begin restoration of harvesting over a period of years. See below for study area.

Meeting: Beaufort County Public Services Committee
Date: 01/26/2010
Issue: One percent sales tax road improvement projects.
Relevancy: Due to lack of impact fees being collected projects must be reprioritized and delayed.
Status: Staff recommendation passed with amendments, moves to full Council, see link:

Meeting: Bluffton Planning Commission
Date: 01/27/2010
Issue: Affordable Housing Project on Wharf & Robertson Streets.
Relevancy: Proposed 7 units on one third of an acre in the Old town.
Status: Withdrawn, to be reintroduced at the HPC next Wednesday, with 5 units and no setback variances. requested.
