Meeting: Beaufort County Finance
Date: 01/19/2010
Issue: Repayment of $240,000, 10 year debt from Lady Island airport to HH airport
Relevancy: Accounting transaction only, does not affect financial viability of either facility.
Status: Passed unanimously.

Meeting: Hilton Head Town Council
Date: 01/19/2010
Issue: Port Royal heel shoreline restoration funding resolution to DHEC.
Relevancy: Could potentially pay 10-20% of cost.
Status: Passed unanimously, DHEC currently recommends retreat from the beach strategy.

Meeting: Beaufort County Transportation Advisory Board
Date: 01/20/2010
Issue: 10 Road Projects authorized by one percent sales tax referendum.
Relevancy: Estimated collection of impact fees lagging, projects must be prioritized.
Status: Will recommend to Council delaying of Phase 5b of Bluffton Parkway, widening of 170 and flyover portion of phase 5a at HH Bridges. See initial staff recommendations below:

Meeting: May River Watershed Board
Date: 01/20/2010
Issue: Protection of May River.
Relevancy: Portions currently unable to harvest shell fish due to fecal coliform counts.

Meeting: Bluffton Historical Preservation Committee
Date: 01/20/2010
Issue: Affordable Housing project at Wharf & Robertson St. in Old Town.
Relevancy: Potentially seven homes constructed on 1/3 of an acre.
Status: Passed 3-2 moves to Planning Commission on 1/27.

Date: 01/21/2010
Issue: HH Master Plan Progress
Relevancy: Will determine future of Airport
Status: Meeting in mid-Feb to review initial recommendations of Plan, e.g. Critical Aircraft.
