As we celebrate our July 4th Independence Day, for many of us here on the Island and across the nation, it is a day of picnics and parades, a night of concerts and fireworks, and a time to wave the American flag.
And yet, it is much more than that -- it is an annual celebration to commemorate the courage and faith of our founding fathers in their pursuit of liberty -- and the sacrifices made in the struggle to unite a young nation.
